Feather Nail Art Tutorial

Happy new year everyone!

First post of 2015 is a sponsored post from ME-Nail :D It's also a tutorial of how to use these products, so don't worry. I was sent a pack of real feathers, water decal with feather pattern, and some high quality rhinestones.

The feathers. Such a pretty pattern!

For my accent nails (the one nail different than the others), I used the water decal and rhinestones over Sally Hansen White On.

To create this look, the steps are like this:
  • I first used Wet n Wild Fergie in Gold Album over a coat of OPI Nail Envy Original Basecoat
  •  Apply topcoat over the base color, this will act like a glue for the feather itself.
  • Put the feather over your nail, position it the way you want it to look.
  • Pat the feather around so that it sticks to your nail.
  • Cut off the excess feather (don't throw it away just yet, you can use one feather for at least 2 nails, and even more if your nail is shorter than mine :D
  • Apply another coat of topcoat to seal the feather, and voila!

So, what do you think? The tutorial is super easy, right? Don't forget to use the code "sovisnailjournal" on every purchase at ME-Nail for a 10% discount :)
